punk

12aug16
i was wondering when am i going do something more, on the blog spotty . i can't do something else, it's already been done, so something more it is. i thought there was something more too say about punk, that has been said already. punk isn't really an aussie word, i thought about this for a short period of time. the only real equivalent in aussie lingo which comes close is runt.

"punk" word , when i really think about it, it's more an american term , which i can see in bands like the ramones. the term punk rock is a different kettle of fish, for which i can see the word runt applied somewheres abouts. i would not like to mention personal names to such labels,  but my mind often drifted to the runt description, on them first glances. runt cunt. so thats what happened to the guy who got kicked out of class, never to be seen again, you know the one. i thought i'd throw that in.

like i said, i  just threw that bit in. i didn't mean any  particular person, not even vic morrow in blackboard jungle. who was a childhood hero of mine, still haven't seen the twilight zone movie. i loved combat as a child , and had the trading cards, probably a story i can't remember. so the punk thing would be them mainly dead end kids film type stuff.

three days on and i haven't given this a single thought. probably could stop there, but it would be a bit short. everyone knows what punk is , or their own interpretation. this is just my fill on the thing. punk is different in time and place. place being london , new york or anywhere. time, 19xx is different from 1977. even the sex bit, some people see it as faggots . i can see how people seen it as in yer face and needed to tame it down, like early jazz and rock 'n roll. my main view is more identity.

i think i've added something more to "punk " word , even repetition. then there's punk 'product' , which , i think, has lasted longer than my dr. martin brothel creepers, which i still have , just haven't wore for yonks, rust and dust have got the better of. some product indeed, the spirit of unsatisfaction. meaning something more you've missed, need or haven't got, vice. so after you've got all the vice you need to be a punk. someone comes up with a new device, creating a new semi satisfaction illusion , or some bullshit.

rust & dust brothel creepers
more punk than ever
call dr marten

thought about products, i remember the razor blade necklaces, which may have been circa 1975. they were 1 or 2 generic razor blades stuck together, chrome plated and blunt ,on a chain. there was the dangily little razor blade earings too. as for these generic graphics that's google bloggers' ,not mine. i don't have time to make this pretty, so generic it is.

even thought less about this, or where to next. maybe in the future this shall be interesting to someone. that's where it's aimed. the forty  year of punk is coincidental , i do these things mainly because i feel like it. for me when i look back to 40 years ago to this day. i was on the up, after being down for a bit, into work, seventeen soon 18, the big 18. hello alice cooper. the funny thing is with it at that time, or mainly a bit later. when your on the dole, you didn't really  care to much about the punk thing. it's more of a working thing, for me anyways. buying records , clothes and such. there is the diy thing but there's only so much you can do yourself, there wasn't really hair gel then. some people used kitchen products the make the spiky look. there were secret concoctions. hair gel was a later thing, you could get it at some hairdressers, you could get 20cents worth of their supplies in a container that would last for a bit. certain hair oil worked okay too.

the products seem to go on, badges and pins were on a thing, a bit like the pearly king. these things weren't really new, even safety pins were used at high school, when someone grabbed you by the shirt and the buttons went flying. you'd used safety pins as a button. what punk done was the art form, or accentual accessories.  leather jackets

you know i could go on, but i would like to move on. i feel like the relevance is 20th  century. then when i think about it, there is a runt out there who could really fit into them shoes. it would be their time and place, for i am no longer a runt, cunt? that's another story. you know the feeling, it's was better before. so now is better than 20 or how many years from now to someone. as long as the runt thing is rock 'n roll we're okay. excitement.
